You control your data

Deleting your Every Last Thing account and data

Every Last Thing uses your Apple Account but does not manage or delete it. Review your device copy, iCloud home contents and approved service copies separately.

Choose the right deletion control

  1. Export any records and attachments you want to keep first. Check that the export opens and no pending work exists only on this device.
  2. Open the iCloud home controls in Settings. An owner can empty the selected home; a participant can leave its share. Check the home and effects on other participants before confirming.
  3. For the complete optional service account, open Settings → Service account & deletion. Verify the Apple account used for that service, review the effects and confirm deletion. Follow the saved deletion status in the app. Individual service copies can also be deleted separately.
  4. Removing a local copy affects only that device or browser profile. Disconnecting iCloud alone retains local recovery data. Check deletion and synchronization status before uninstalling the app.

Can’t access your account?

Recover your Apple Account through Apple. Support can help with Every Last Thing service-copy requests, but cannot bypass Apple sign-in or restore deleted iCloud originals. Never send a password or recovery key.

Send a privacy request

What the request covers

  • Empty iCloud home: the selected home’s private records and attachments, not other homes or your Apple Account
  • Leave a share: your access to the shared home, not deletion of the owner’s data
  • Complete service-account deletion: sign-ins, service copies, grants and account identity data; open sale obligations are resolved first. iCloud originals are deleted separately
  • Delete a service copy: its separate server version, not the iCloud original
  • Timed stories and succession instructions: revocation blocks new recipient access; deleting their service scope removes retained copies and recipient grants
  • Service-purchase link: delete separately in service-purchase controls; service credits are removed, while minimized purchase anti-replay records remain
  • Marketplace authorizations: disconnect separately in marketplace accounts; check active listings and withdraw them on the official service where necessary
  • Remove a local copy: the device/browser copy and unfinished work described in its confirmation
  • App Store subscription: cancel separately in Apple subscription settings; deleting data or uninstalling does not cancel it

Processing and backup expiry

An offline iCloud deletion waits for Apple’s synchronization acknowledgement. Service-copy expiry and backup retention are separate processes. Check the privacy notice for the retention periods and exceptions that apply to your data; do not assume backups disappear immediately. Privacy-request handling and any justified extension are communicated according to applicable law.

Limited retention duties

Some transaction, fraud-prevention, tax, or audit records may need to be retained by law. They are isolated, access-restricted, and removed when their retention period ends. The reason is disclosed with the request.
